Events and functions
We will host functions during the year to get to know you better. Details of functions will be emailed/posted to you as details are finalised. Some of the events already planned are:
School of Anatomy & Human Biology
- The School of Anatomy & Human Biology will be hosting its triennial Memorial Service for people who donate their bodies to research on 10 October 2008. Contact Lesley Hicks for details.
School of Biomedical, Biomolecular & Chemical Sciences
- The School of Biomedical, Biomolecular & Chemical Sciences includes the disciplines of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology & Immunology and Physiology. The school is hosting a function for alumni, staff, business colleagues and friends to celebrate its first five years. Contact Melinda Hall to make sure you are on the invitation list.
- The first cohort of Master of Pharmacy students have graduated, and the new Pharmacy Alumni group formed. For information about the group and its activities, contact Josie Posterino.
School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health
- The School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health was, until the end of 2007, the School of Human Movement & Exercise Science. They now have a new name from 2008 which the school believes more accurately describes their teaching and research activities. The school has a number of activities planned for alumni in 2008. Contact Kerry Smith to join, or get more information about events.
School of Physics
- The School of Physics is putting together a newsletter for distribution during the year. Contact Jay Jay Jegathesan for a copy.
School of Psychology
- The School of Psychology held a successful reunion to celebrate its 75th anniversary, and the 50th year of the Master of Clinical Psychology course in 2006. The school has since built on the success of that reunion by issuing its first Alumni Newsletter in 2007. For more information contact Elliot Wood.
