This graduate diploma provides an avenue for further study under certain circumstances, if

  • You are ineligible for entry to Honours at UWA
  • You want proceed to master's candidature
  • You want an advanced qualification in a specific area of expertise

Course outline

This course provides a program of study comprising coursework and a research project in a wide range of subject areas.  Students enhance their communication skills by taking a science communication unit and may take an elective unit from another faculty within the University, thus broadening their knowledge base.

Units to a value of 18 points approved by the Faculty in one of the following programs:

  • a dissertation unit to a value of 12 points in the chosen program area.

Notes:

Students taking the Physics program must substitute PHYS7415 Special Topics in Physics I and PHYS7416 Special Topics in Physics II for ANHB8404 and ANHB8504.

Students taking the Sports Science program must substitute HMES7602 Research Methods and HMES7603 Data Analysis for ANHB8404 and ANHB8504.

Admission requirements

A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a major in a related area; or a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and relevant experience related to the professional experience related to the intended field of study.
