Workshops



Two day workshop

Minimum: 10 people
Maximum: 12 people
Cost: $660 / participant (inclusive of GST)
Based on two consecutive days at UWA.
Includes: Tuition, materials, parking permit, morning and afternoon tea and lunches, record of interviews.

The media skills two-day workshop focuses on:

  • developing confidence in working with the media
  • putting tips into practice
  • being interviewed by experienced radio and TV journalists
  • receiving feedback about your interviews.

The next media skills workshop will be held from 8:30am - 5:30pm on the 4th and 11th of December 2009.

One day workshop

Minimum: 10 people

Based on one day at UWA.
Includes: Tuition, materials, parking permit, morning and afternoon tea and lunch, record of interviews.

The one-day workshops focuses on one of the following:

Interviews for radio:

  • developing confidence in working with the media,
  • being interviewed by an experienced radio journalist
  • receiving feedback about your interview

Interviews for TV:

  • developing confidence in working with the media
  • being filmed and interviewed by an experienced news crew
  • receiving individual feedback about your interview

Writing media releases:

  • writing clear and newsworthy releases
  • drafting your media release and
  • receiving individual feedback to improve your draft.
