The Faculty of Science offers a selection of postgraduate qualifications that combine advanced coursework units with a substantial research component that give students the opportunity to advance their knowledge and undertake independent research within their chosen field.

In the Master of Science (thesis and coursework) you can choose to specialise in any one of the following areas:
The Higher degree by research preliminary program is designed for students who wish to undertake a Master's by Research or PhD, but do not yet have the necessary research experience to be eligible. It is similar to an Honours year, and is intended to lead directly into further postgraduate research.
