The PICSE program aims to encourage senior high school students to consider careers in agricultural and environmental sciences.

The main features of this program are a Residential Camp and Industry Placement Scholarship for students and Professional Development days for teachers.

After successfully running this project in Western Australia for five years, Colin Hawke this year handed over to a new Science Education Officer, Samantha Greene.

UWA is not the only university In Australia to offer this program. It is also available within the University of Tasmania and Flinders University in South Australia.
