BSc (Marine Science), 1st class honours
Aquatic Scientist, Centre for Water Research (CWR)

The most satisfying aspect of my career is being involved in applied science.

Findings of each project are applied at the ground level and improve surface water management

After completing my honours, I began working at CWR. My current position involves undertaking numerical modeling and desktop studies in the field of aquatic sciences.

Many projects are related to reservoir management and may involve exploring the impacts of installing mixing devices in reservoirs, adding recycled water to reservoirs and managing offtake depths to improve the water quality of the reservoir as well as the downstream environment.

Many projects involve collaboration with industry, consulting companies and other universities. Project findings are often presented at conferences nationally.

The numerous skills I obtained at UWA, including project planning, report writing and group work, are crucial for my career.
