The Centre for Strategic Nano-Fabrication is a world leader in the use of special processing techniques to make nano-materials.
The Centre employs continuous flow processing technologies that deliver nano-particles of uniform size and shape, while at the same time using green chemistry principles in order to minimise any effects on the environment.
Our research has three themes:
- Health: Improving the absorption of drugs by the body, tissue engineering, and detecting disease
- Energy: Improving fuel cell technology and light-harvesting devices
- Environment: Remediating mine sites, purifying water, and creating useful materials from industrial waste products.
