Honours

Honours refers to a final, usually fourth, year of study which may be undertaken by students who have achieved a particular academic standard.

Typically this standard is a weighted average of at least 65 per cent across the level three units. All students enrolled through the Bachelor of Science programs offshore are eligible to enter the honours course, assuming the pre-requisite entry criteria have been met.

How to apply

If you want to undertake honours at the Crawley (Perth) campus or in Singapore, follow the procedures outlined in the 2009 Honours Application Guide

For commencement in July 2009 the deadline for submission of your application is Thursday 25th June 2009.  Applying late will disadvantage you.

If you have any queries please contact the faculty's Offshore Programs Director, Dr Thomas Martin, telephone (+61 8) 6488 3331 or fax (+61 8) 6488 1148.

The structure of the honours course is essentially the same regardless of whether it is taken onshore or offshore. The honours course usually consists of a combination of coursework and dissertation, although this may vary from school to school. Honours is offered on a full-time basis only, and begins at the end of July and in mid-February every year.
