As a UWA student, you can choose amongst a wide range of overseas learning opportunities to add an international edge to your degree and fast-track your career.

UWA Study Abroad and Exchange Program

The UWA Student Exchange Program allows you to spend one or two semesters studying at one of the UWA’s various partner institutions. You remain enrolled at UWA and continue to pay your tuition fees at UWA, but pay no tuition fees at the host university.

Short-term programs at partner institutions


A semester or a year abroad sounds a bit daunting? A range of short-term programs are offered by our various partners and are available at different times of the year. Most programs are taught in English and you may be eligible to apply for a UWA Study Abroad Scholarship.

    Independent Study Abroad

    If you wish to study abroad at an institution that does not have a formal partnership with UWA, you need to apply directly to the host institution. The choice of institution and units is subject to approval and should be discussed with your Faculty Student Office before you apply to the host institution or pay any fees.
