Student profile

Clayton Locke

Australian Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Physics, UWA
PhD (Physics)

Freedom of work is the best aspect of working as a research physicist. During my studies at UWA I developed scientific writing skills while writing my PhD thesis; skills that are invaluable in my current work. Lateral thinking skills and of course the day-to-day lab skills of a research physicist are also acquired during postgraduate study.

We offer postgraduate coursework and research courses in a wide variety of subject areas.

Some courses include a mixture of coursework units and research.

All you need to do is choose a program that meets your experience, interests and goals.

Serious about research?

You can undertake a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in any area of science. Many disciplines also offer a Master's of Science by pure research. More information is available on the Future Students website.
